Daloy-Likha

At the outskirts of Lucban is a hidden gem called Daloy-Likha. The name pertains to both the farm owned by the prolific visual artist Emmanuel "Noel" P. Bueza (Daloy-Likha Art and Nature Hub) and the international arts, culture, and environmental organization that he and his wife and friends have founded (Daloy-Likha International Arts and Nature Society, Inc.).

Daloy-Likha means creative flow; and it is the best term to describe the organization's vision and advocacy - to be the safe haven for artists, cultural workers, and environmental advocates, and to be in the forefront for the advancement of cultural and artistic rights of the Filipino while also advancing the cause for the environment and sustainable living.

Bueza and his wife Marilyn, Barcelona, Engr. Edsel Paroan, and Pauline Juliet Blazo Racelis are the people behind Daloy-Likha and together with the pioneer members, they are committed to their cause.

Even if it is a very young organization, it has been able to organize a national virtual exhibit during the height of Covid-19 pandemic and series of hard lockdowns and even published a magazine (Daloy Likha Magazine). Only this April 21, Daloy-Likha has been able to launch its first ever international virtual exhibit titled Tulay: Two Nations, One Art. Fifty-two artist from the Philippines and Malaysia have participated in this exhibit, signaling the series of International and Local partnerships to forge unity and brotherhood among creatives and advocates here and overseas.

They mounted the exhibit titled “PISTA” last May 2021 at Ricardo’s café in Tagaytay to celebrate the undying spirit of the Filipinos amidst the pandemic. They joined Visayas Art last year and will be joining again this year with a bigger and brighter roster of Filipino contemporary artists. Their exhibit last July titled “Selebrasyon” in cooperation with Historia Arts was a success participated in by 50 artists at the Art Center of SM Megamall. More exhibits are coming their way including Mindanao Art and other invitations abroad.

Daloy Likha continues to network artists from the regions (Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao) to showcase the best of Filipino contemporary art and to bring them closer together through art activities that would foster unity and camaraderie as well as learn from each other. They would like to position their magazine in much the same way as to discover artists from the region and help them achieve their full potential through the organization.

The organization is duly registered with the Philippine government through Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a non-stock and non-profit institution and with the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
